One of my favourite Colonial vignettes: a 7 pounder Screw-gun with Royal Artillery crew, Sudan 1883-5. The figures and gun are by Perry Miniatures, painted for me by Leuthen Studios.
They were Rudyard Kipling's favourites too, as immortalised in his poem "Screw-Guns":
"For you all love the screw-guns the screw-guns all love you!"
